SAME DAY (URGENT) APPOINTMENT REQUESTS
When you call or attend the surgery to request a same day (urgent) appointment please provide the Care Navigator [receptionist] with a brief idea of the problem so they can deal with it more efficiently and make sure really urgent cases are put first.
Once you have given the Care Navigator a brief idea of the problem you will either be signposted to the appropriate person/service or you will be added to our clinical triage list and you receive a telephone call from the duty Clinician for further assessment and advice.
If you are added to the triage list the duty Clinician will aim to call you back within an hour of your call - so please keep you phone near you!
If the Clinician has two failed called attempts they will not call back again. If you realise you have missed calls please call back to re-book.
